Overview

Ming Yang, a graduate of both AIPE and the JFK School of Government at Harvard University, is seen sharing his views during a class discussion.
AIPE is intended for university students who want to study the fundamental concepts and theories of political economy, as well as an advanced course in American studies. The Institute brings together students from throughout Asia and a small group of American students for an exciting cross-cultural experience revolving around the ideas of political economy.

The pace of the program is intense and demanding. Aside from classes and guest lectures, formal and informal extracurricular events are planned to encourage students to share ideas and cultures outside of the traditional classroom setting.

Classes are conducted in the School of Economics and Finance at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), the most reputable tertiary educational institution in Hong Kong. HKU has achieved international recognition as one of the finest institutes of higher learning in Asia.
