Dear Student,

Congratulations on being accepted to attend the 2005 Asia Institute for Political Economy! Information on this website outlines the activities, classes and people of AIPE. Please read this information thoroughly as it has important information to prepare you for your stay in Hong Kong.

Reading this information carefully and visiting the AIPE website regularly at www.tfasinternational.org and www.econ.hku.hk will help you spend an enjoyable three weeks in Hong Kong – one of the most beautiful cities in Asia. The information includes faculty and staff biographies to help you get acquainted with the staff and professors employed by the Fund for American Studies, who will enhance this memorable experience. We have also listed a copy of the tentative schedule for this summer’s program. However, we are still in the process of finalizing some guest lecturers. We are providing you with this tentative schedule so you can obtain a general idea as to how the program will run. You will receive a final schedule upon your arrival in Hong Kong.

We will be providing you with the required books on your arrival, but the articles contained on your mailed CD-ROM must be printed out by each of you individually. We will not be giving you a hard-copy of any of these readings so we urge you to please take the time to print them out on your own.
