Special Events
As an AIPES participant, you will also be afforded exclusive opportunities to attend special events around the city of Prague. Students look forward to showcasing their culture and national traditions at the Annual Country Presentation Dinner and many other exciting events.
Country Presentations Dinner
During this annual event, students showcase their countries through traditional dance, costumes, songs, poems and cuisine. This is a unique opportunity for students to share their traditions and provide information for others to come and visit their country.
US Ambassador's Reception
Students are hosted each year at the residence of the US Ambassador to the Czech Republic. This exclusive opportunity allows students a chance to not only meet the Ambassador but also to socialize informally with fellow peers and Institute staff at the historic residence.
Tour of Prague Castle
A highlight for many institute participants is a tour of the official state rooms at Prague Castle. Prague Castle is a sprawling complex situated atop a large hill on the left bank of the Vltava River, which runs through old town Prague. Originally built in the 9th century as a Royal Palace, today Prague Castle is the seat of the President of the Czech Republic and serves as the historical and political center of the city and state.
