ADMISSIONS
Admissions Policies
- Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis - applications are reviewed as they are received.
- Participants admitted to the program are expected to participate fully, which means attending all classes, lectures and social events. Individuals not enrolled in the program may not attend Institute events or stay in dormitory rooms assigned by The Fund for American Studies. The Institute discourages long-distance travel and visits by friends or relatives during the program.
- Courses are conducted in English; therefore, proficiency in English is required. Preference will be given to applicants who have received a TOEFL score of 600 or higher; or equivalent scores from other testing services, such as IELTS. In the absence of a TOEFL or IELTS score, students must provide a testimonial letter from an English professor, or a certificate of English proficiency from an accredited institution.
