Additional Scholarship Opportunities

For students looking for additional funding to cover their amount due and other related costs, below is a list of Internet services and organizations that can assist you. All students looking for funding opportunities are encouraged to do a thorough search of programs and organizations in their country.

Deadline for summer programs is 15 March 2008.

People to People International - will once again offer a $500 scholarship to selected students accepted to a Fund for American Studies International program. Please click on this link for the new 2008 application.

For more information regarding People to People International, please visit their website at www.ptpi.org. Application deadline is 15 March 2008. Please do not apply for financial aid after this date.

FreSch! has a database of over 2,000 organizations and foundations that offer scholarships, representing approximately 169,000 awards. www.freschinfo.com

The International Education financial Aid (IEFA) has a comprehensive listing of grants, scholarships, loan programs, and other information to assist students in their pursuit to study abroad. www.iefa.org

SRN Express is a free web version of the Scholarship Resource Network (SRN) database. The SRN database focuses on private-sector, non-need-based aid, and includes information about awards from more than 1,500 organizations. The database is updated annually. www.srnexpress.com

Peterson's Award Search database presents 800,000 awards from about 2,000 sources in 69 academic subject areas, with the same complete descriptions found in Peterson's Scholarships, Grants and Prizes book. www.collegequest.com

The International Student is an information resource for students who are interested in studying in the United States. Includes application process, visas, and a list of scholarships and grants. www.internationalstudent.net

In addition these resources on the web, your local area Rotary Club and Lions Club may offer scholarships that will be applicable to your situation. To find your local chapter of these organizations, consult the phone directory or their web sites www.rotary.org and www.lions.org .
