How to Apply
To apply to TFAS Prague, prospective students must complete online application (available here). Applicants should submit the following documents through the online application:
- A statement of purpose explaining your reasons for applying to the program and what you hope to gain by attending
- A 500-1000 word writing sample (the essay topic is available in the online application)
- Your updated resume/CV
- A letter of recommendation from a professor, adviser, dean, or boss (we prefer someone who knows you in an academic capacity). Your recommender can submit their letter through the online application system or by email, fax, or post. We discourage applicants submitting their letter of recommendation on behalf of their recommender.
- Transcripts are no longer required for the application. Only the above are considered the requirements to submit your application.
Once you have submitted your online application and all supplemental materials have been received, you will be notified via email that your application is complete. If selected for an admissions interview, a TFAS International Programs staff member will contact you to schedule this interview.
Early Deadline: January 31
Final Deadline: March 15
For more information on admissions, please see our admissions page.
All accepted TFAS Prague participants will be required to pay a participation fee. This fee will be designated towards your TFAS Prague costs and will cover your room & board, breakfast and lunch (some days dinner will be included), academic materials, Charles University tuition, and special events. TFAS Prague cannot cover your travel, visa costs (if applicable) and out of pocket money.
The participation fee is calculated first by the strength of your application, economic situation in your home country/region, if you will need any additional costs coming to Prague (ex. visa costs), and your scholarship statement and request. This participation fee will be no less than $700.00.
The total cost per student for TFAS Prague is $3750.00. The difference between the participation fee and $3750.00 has been paid for by generous supporters of TFAS International and TFAS Prague.
